The panel is excluded from screen capture at the window-server level, so it never appears in Zoom, Meet, Teams, or a recording.

The problem
On camera, you are always looking slightly away.
Your notes sit on the screen. The camera sits above it. So every glance down reads, to everyone watching, as a glance away. It is the difference between a person talking to you and a person reading at you.
Eyeline closes that gap by putting the words where the camera already is. The panel sits under the notch, a few centimeters from the lens, so reading and eye contact become the same motion.

Voice sync
The script follows your voice.
Most teleprompters scroll on a timer, which means you spend the call chasing the text or waiting for it. Eyeline listens to what you are actually saying and keeps the current line under the lens, so you can pause, go off script, and come back without losing your place.
Recognition runs on device using Apple's speech framework. Nothing is uploaded, and voice sync works with no internet connection at all.

What leaves the machine
That check happens once when you activate, and once when your trial ends, to learn whether the day 30 charge went through. After that it never contacts anything again. A confirmed license is cached permanently and never re-checked, deliberately, so an outage or an offline laptop can never lock out a paying customer.

Can people on the call see the teleprompter?
