What does $19 actually get you?

The whole app. There is no free edition with the good parts removed, no pro tier, and no feature behind a second purchase. Everything below ships in version 1.0.

  • Capture invisibility

The panel is marked as excluded from capture and the macOS window server enforces it, so screen sharing, screen recording, and screenshots all receive frames with the script already gone.

  • Voice-synced scrolling

On-device speech recognition follows the words you actually say and keeps the current line under the lens. It runs offline, and nothing is uploaded.

  • Timed scrolling

Set a words-per-minute pace and let the script run on a metronome instead, for the days you would rather not use the microphone at all.

  • Global hotkeys

Play, pause, restart, and nudge lines while your meeting app keeps focus. Option+Command+P is the default for play and pause, and every shortcut is remappable.

  • Hover to pause

Move the pointer onto the panel and the script waits for you. Move it away and the scroll picks back up where it stopped.

  • Everywhere you work

The panel follows you across spaces, full-screen apps, and multiple displays, and it is non-activating, so clicking near it never steals focus from the app in front.

  • Scripts that stay on your disk

Your scripts are saved locally as plain JSON files. There is no cloud library, because the app has no network entitlement to reach one.

  • Launch at login

Turn it on once and the menu-bar icon is waiting every morning, registered through the system login-item service rather than a hidden helper.

How the capture invisibility works

The fine print, in plain words

What does one payment cover?

One payment of $19 covers version 1.0 and every 1.x release after it, on every Mac you own, with no account and no expiry. Here is exactly where that line sits.

Version 1.0 and every 1.x update

You are buying version 1.0 and every point release that follows it, at no extra cost. There is no auto-updater, because updating itself would need the network access the app deliberately does not have, so you download a new build whenever you want it.

Every Mac you own

The purchase is yours, not a particular machine, so the laptop, the desktop, and the one in the studio are all covered. There is no activation count and nothing to deactivate when you replace a Mac.

No account that can lapse

There is no login, no license server, and no renewal date. If this website disappeared tomorrow, the copy on your Mac would keep working exactly as it does today.

And the part most pricing pages leave out

If Eyeline ever reaches a version 2.0 that is a genuine rewrite rather than a point release, that could be a paid upgrade. We will say so plainly and in advance, we will not quietly switch anyone to a subscription, and the version you already paid for keeps running either way.

Specifications

Will it run on my Mac?

If your Mac runs macOS 14 Sonoma or later, yes. Eyeline is a 2.4 MB universal binary, so the same download runs natively on Apple silicon and on Intel.

Before you buy

The six things people ask before they hand over $19, answered without the sales voice.

Is Eyeline a subscription?

No. Eyeline is a single payment of $19 with no recurring charge of any kind. There is no monthly plan, no annual plan, and no per-seat billing, and nothing expires if you stop paying attention to us.

Do I need an account to use Eyeline?

No. There is no sign-up, no login, and no license key to keep track of. Checkout collects an email address only so Stripe can send a receipt and we can send your download link, and the app itself never asks who you are.

Can I install Eyeline on more than one Mac?

Yes. One $19 purchase covers every Mac you personally own, so a laptop and a desktop are both fine. There is no activation limit and nothing to release when you sell a machine or set up a new one.

What if Eyeline does not work for me?

Email hello@geteyeline.com within 14 days of buying and you get a full refund, no questions asked. The refund goes back through Stripe to your original payment method, and the money typically lands within a few business days depending on your bank.

Why is Eyeline not on the Mac App Store?

Eyeline is sold directly from this site as a 2.4 MB DMG. Selling direct is what keeps it a flat $19 with no store account standing between you and the app you paid for, and it means a fix can ship the day it is written instead of waiting in a review queue.

What happens the first time I open Eyeline?

macOS shows a warning, because version 1.0 is ad-hoc signed and has not been through Apple notarization yet. Right-click Eyeline in your Applications folder and choose Open, or go to System Settings > Privacy and Security and click Open Anyway. You will only do this once. It is safe: the app is sandboxed with exactly two entitlements, app-sandbox and device.audio-input, and you can confirm that yourself in Terminal with codesign -d --entitlements - Eyeline.app.
